Nita Nursita

 

Sculptor & Painter

 

Born in Bandung (Java), on 24th January 1967.

She lives in Jakarta where she paints as well as sculptures.

She graduated from the Bandung school of Foreign Languages in 1992 (STBA)

and from the Jakarta School of Management in 1998.

 

Nita studied sculpture and painting under the direction of many different masters from 1997 until the present day and she studied painting and drawing at L'Académie de Port Royal in Paris as a summer course in 2001.

 

She has participated in several group exhibitions in Indonesia.

She exhibits regularly in Japan and France.

Nita is a very active and passionate woman.

Nita spends a lot of her time working for a charity which helps the street children of Jakarta for whom she organises an annual art exhibition.

She is much appreciated for her generosity, her desire for equality and her principle of sharing.

 

Her inspiration comes from the beauty, courage, elegance, intelligence and behaviour of women. This is expressed in her paintings and sculptures which aim to give a message of peace, love, and inner beauty, a sense of equality, harmony and tolerance.
